Life’s funniest revelation to me is that I never knew I wasn’t practicing empathy until I finally experienced what it meant to “decenter” myself. All the time I had thought I was; but I really wasn’t.
Here’s to the masterpiece (I’m calling it nothing less) that taught me how.
